Reid Lifting T Davit WIth Shackles | 600 kg Swl (Material) and 300 kg Swl (Personnel)
The Reid Lifting 600 kg SWL T Davit Shackled represents the pinnacle of portable, high-capacity lifting solutions. Expertly engineered from advanced, lightweight aluminium alloys, this davit system delivers an outstanding 600 kg Safe Working Load (SWL) for goods, making it the most robust option in the T Davit range for material handling. Beyond its impressive goods capacity, it is also certified for personnel lifting (up to 300 kg WLL) and serves as a reliable fall arrest anchor point for one user. The "shackled" configuration features robust double shackle heads, providing direct and secure attachment points for a wide range of lifting appliances, enhancing its adaptability for diverse and demanding applications.
Key Benefits:
- Market-Leading Portability & Strength: Despite its 600 kg goods lifting capacity, this T Davit remains remarkably lightweight due to its high-grade aluminium construction. Its two-piece design allows for effortless transportation and rapid, tool-free assembly by a single person, drastically reducing manual handling strain and setup time.
- Maximum Lifting Power with Direct Attachment: Offering the highest goods lifting capacity in the T Davit series, this model is perfect for heavier loads. The integrated double shackle heads provide secure, direct connections for manual or electric hoists, winches, and other lifting accessories, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
- Unrestricted 360° Rotation Under Load: Equipped with a patented integrated bearing system, the 600 kg T Davit can perform a full 360-degree rotation even when under its maximum rated load. This critical feature enables precise and safe positioning of loads in confined, awkward, or overhead spaces, optimising operational efficiency.
- Comprehensive Safety & Versatility: This davit system excels as a multi-purpose tool, certified for heavy goods lifting, safe personnel lifting (up to 300 kg), and as a reliable fall arrest anchor for one individual. This broad functionality enhances site safety and reduces the need for multiple pieces of specialised equipment.
- Superior Corrosion Resistance & Durability: The T Davit features a clean, anodised finish, offering exceptional resistance to corrosion. This makes it ideal for use in harsh, corrosive, or outdoor environments, guaranteeing a prolonged service life and consistent performance with minimal maintenance.
- Rapid Deployment for Critical Operations: Designed for efficiency, its intuitive assembly process means the davit can be quickly set up and ready for use, which is crucial in time-sensitive situations such as emergency repairs or rescue operations.
- Industry-Leading Certifications: Rigorously tested and certified to international safety standards, including EN795:2012, and often meeting IRATA ICOP and ATEX Zone 2 standards (with Zone 1 as an option), this davit ensures the highest levels of safety and compliance, even in potentially explosive atmospheres.
- Customisable Solutions: Available with a range of column heights and beam options, the 600 kg T Davit can be tailored to exact specifications, providing bespoke solutions for unique lifting challenges and ensuring optimal reach and height for the task at hand.
Advantages:
- Unmatched Performance in Heavy Lifting: Delivers the highest goods lifting capacity in its class for a portable aluminium davit, making it the preferred choice for demanding material handling tasks.
- Enhanced Safety Protocols: Its robust design, multiple certifications, and secure shackle points provide an exceptional level of safety for both equipment and personnel, reducing the risk of accidents.
- Significant Cost Efficiencies: By consolidating multiple lifting and safety functions into a single portable unit, it reduces capital expenditure, ongoing maintenance costs, and storage requirements compared to fixed installations.
- Optimal Access in Challenging Environments: Its lightweight nature, compact footprint, and 360° rotation allow it to be deployed effectively in areas inaccessible to larger, heavier, or fixed lifting apparatus, including complex confined spaces.
- Increased Operational Productivity: Fast assembly and ease of use minimise downtime, allowing teams to work more efficiently and complete projects ahead of schedule.
Industries & Critical Applications:
The Reid Lifting 600 kg SWL T Davit Shackled is an indispensable tool across a broad spectrum of industries where high-capacity, safe, and portable lifting is critical.
- Water & Wastewater Treatment: Essential for heavy-duty maintenance in pumping stations, filter beds, large valve chambers, and deep sumps. Critical applications include lifting large submersible pumps, heavy-duty mixers, sludge removal equipment, and for safe personnel access and rescue in challenging confined spaces.
- Oil & Gas (Onshore & Offshore): Crucial for equipment installation, routine maintenance, and emergency response in hazardous and confined areas on drilling rigs, production platforms, refineries, and chemical processing plants. Its ATEX certification (where applicable) makes it vital for safely handling components in potentially explosive atmospheres.
- Marine & Shipbuilding: Used for heavy lifting tasks onboard vessels, in dry docks, and on offshore structures, including engine and machinery component replacement, large equipment transfer, and critical rescue operations in tight quarters.
- Confined Space Entry & Rescue (Heavy Duty): A cornerstone for emergency services and industrial teams requiring high-capacity lifting for personnel and heavy rescue equipment in demanding confined space scenarios such as large tanks, industrial vessels, or deep utility shafts.
- Telecommunications & Utilities: Supports the installation and maintenance of large and heavy communication equipment on tall towers, rooftops, and within large underground vaults.
- Heavy Industrial & Manufacturing: Facilitates the installation, removal, and maintenance of heavy machinery components, large motors, and other substantial industrial equipment in factory settings, workshops, and plant rooms where a fixed crane is not feasible.
- Civil Engineering & Construction: Valuable for lifting heavy construction materials, large tools, and structural elements on challenging sites, including bridge construction, large-scale trench work, and underground infrastructure projects.
- Mining & Tunnelling: Used for equipment maintenance and material handling in underground environments, where robust yet portable lifting is crucial for safety and efficiency.
